Southern Cross Safaris was established in 1963. The family owned business has grown and developed into a boutique luxury destination in South Africa for hunters from around the World.

Nestled at the base of a high ridge in the heart of the Eastern Cape, this semi-desert  region is malaria free and is steeped in history and culture. Set on 15000 acres of ancient land,  Southern Cross Safaris is home to a host of Antelope, Eland, Zebra,  Black and Blue Wildebeest, The rare Lechwe, Buffalo to name but a few. Hundreds of species of birds and a unique collection of fauna and flora. The landscape is diverse, and the ranch is bordered by a high mountain ridge flowing into flat grassy thornveldt plains, riverine bush and hills.

At Southern Cross Safaris, the hospitality is homely and relaxed. Hearty meals and select South African wines accompany warm conversation around the fire or in the private dining area. The private, well appointed luxury client suites,  include a king size bed, Air-conditioning, coffee and tea kitchenette, mini bar, TV and wi-fi and a private ensuite bathroom.
